Student Conference 2010: Keynote Speaker Announced!

NEC-HFES is delighted to announce that John Moore, from MIT’s Media Lab, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 NEC-HFES Student Conference, to be held on October 22nd at Microsoft’s NERD Center in Cambridge.
John Moore is a physician and technologist. He is working to fundamentally change the role that patients play in their care by empowering them with knowledge, understanding, confidence, and channels of communication. For his PhD, he is studying the effect that new technology-mediated paradigms for doctor-patient collaboration can have on education, adherence, and behavior change.
Moore received a BS in biomedical engineering and a medical degree from Boston University. Before attending medical school, he was a Fulbright Scholar in Belgium, where he conducted clinical engineering studies on neurological movement disorders.
